The National United Front Work Conference on Private Economy was held in Beijing on 16 September. Wang Yang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, and head of the CPC Central Committee’s leading group on the united front work, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

Wang stressed that we must conscientiously study and appreciate the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions, deeply understand the political significance of doing a good job in the united front work on the private economic sector in the new era, adhere to the principles of trust, unity, services, guidance, and education, and guide private entrepreneurs in fully and correctly understanding the “Two Unwaverings”, firmly maintain confidence in China’s systems, thereby better uniting them around the party for national rejuvenation.

You Quan, Secretary of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee and Director of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee, presided over the meeting and delivered a speech. He said that the united front departments at all levels should thoroughly study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions, earnestly putting it into practice with a high sense of responsibility and mission. He called for elevated political awareness, a focus on key tasks, strengthened overall planning and coordination, and efforts to create new dynamics of united front work on private economic sector in the new era.

Gao Yunlong, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and Chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce also attended the meeting. Heads of the Cyberspace Administration, National Development and Reform Commission, United Front Work Department of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee, and United Front Work Department of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee, and relevant private entrepreneurs also delivered remarks at the meeting.

Shen Guojun, CPPCC National Committee member, Standing Committee Member of China Zhi Gong Party Central Committee, Executive Chairman of the General Association of Zhejiang Entrepreneurs, Founder and Chairman of Yintai Group, attended the meeting. As the person in charge at business associations including General Association of Zhejiang Entrepreneurs and General Association of Ningbo Entrepreneurs, he will firmly keep in mind the instructions of the party and the state, actively promote the healthy development of relevant business associations, foster and develop business associations with Chinese characteristics, and promote effective coverage of united front work at business associations and affiliated companies, said Shen after the meeting.
